I recently discovered that Nicolas Cage changed his family name from Coppola to Cage early on in his career, as his uncle is well known director, Francis Ford Coppola, and he feared that critics would claim that Francis Ford Coppola played a part in increasing his popularity.
He chose the surname Cage after Luke Cage, a character out of the Marvel Comics universe.
As you may or may not know, the URL for my blog comes from the Marvel Comics series Hero For Hire, in which Luke Cage debuted, as Luke Cage is my favourite comic book character, for a more than obvious reason.
Unbeknownst to you might be the fact that I am not particularly fond of Nic Cage’s work, and thus it displeases me that we have this in common, as I don’t like people who I don’t like liking things I like.
tl;dr I’m considering changing my URL.

i thought this would be a nick cage appreciation post, but then i read the end haha. nick cage is shit, he has one emotion and the only thing good about his surname being cage is that the younger generation may never make the coppola connection.
